What is a Stylist?
I am both a fashion stylist and wardrobe stylist. As a fashion stylist I typically work with celebrity clients, recording artist, and on fashion related events. Wardrobe styling is market driven. As a wardrobe stylist I create looks for commercials, television, film, and lifestyle print advertisements. I represent the consumer my advertiser is trying to reach.
What does an Image Consultant do?
As an image consultant I assist clients and companies in creating memorable impressions that reflect their personal or corporate style. With the assistance of an image consultant, a client can create a personal brand that distinguishes him/her from the crowd. This includes consultations on appearance, behavior, and communication skills.
Why would I need an Image Consultant?
Each client or corporation desires an image consultant for varying purposes that are specific to the need(s). For example, a client may consult an image consultant with help in creating his/her own personal brand, to become more marketable, to improve the probability of acquiring a better career, for more success in dating, to transition into a new career, etc.
What is an Art Director?
As an art director I work independently and/or collaboratively in developing an advertisement or editorials overall vision. This includes developing a concept, appearance, mood, and message my client wants to portray to their target audience.
What is Personal Branding?
Personal Branding is the process whereby people and their careers are marked as brands. I assess my clients, and then complete both a figure and color analyst. Once completed, I will then educate them by going over their wardrobe, what is says about their personal brand, and how they can continue to brand themselves through clothing that fits their budget.
What is a Figure Analysis?
During a figure analysis, I use many forms of proportional measurements to identify what styles of clothing most enhance the client’s body type and shape. Although a client has the freedom to select any style of clothing to wear, certain styles, according to the client’s body type and shape, create image congruency and an enhanced appearance.
What is a Color Analysis?
Have you ever wondered why certain colors look amazing on you and you receive countless compliments when wearing that clothing? It’s because certain color best compliments a client’s skin tones and hair colors while others may not compliment them as well. During a color analysis I will identify which colors best maximize a client’s appearance based on his/her undertones. Those colors are used in wardrobe preparation and selection. They are also used during personal shopping excursions.
What is a Personal Shopper?
Personal shopping may be needed after a closet audit, a special event, interview preparation, or for a transformation of style. Once a client’s style has been identified, additional clothing may be needed to support the style and image. As a personal shopper I will work within a client’s budget gathering all their wardrobe needs, including holiday and or gift shopping, vacation shopping and suitcase packing.
What is Private Closet Auditing?
A private close audit is essentially a reorganization of the client’s existing wardrobe. During a closet audit session, the client and I will identify clothing already in their closet that supports their selected personal style. During a closet audit I will explain what colors and styles work, don’t work, and why.
